DAYTON - University of Dayton women's golf head coach Ellie Sipe has announced the Flyers' spring 2026 schedule, a five-event slate that kicks off Mar. 9 in South Carolina and culminates with the Atlantic 10 Championship at the end of April. March 9-10, Dayton will be in Hilton Head, S.C., for the Wofford Low Country Intercollegiate at The Golf Club at Indigo Run. Later in the month, the team heads to Old Hickory, Tenn., for Lipscomb's The Nashville Invitational, Mar. 23-24 at Hermitage Golf Course, followed by the George State Invitational, Mar. 29-30 at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Ga. Moving into April, the Flyers will compete in the Bowling Green Dolores Black Falcon Invitational April 11-12 at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green, Ohio. The spring season will conclude with the Atlantic 10 Championship April 20-22 at the Evermore Orlando Resort in Orlando, Fla. Dayton is coming off a six-event fall season where they had three top-three finishes as a team. Kylee Heidemann continued a breakthrough career with back-to-back first wins. Tonight's match marked head coach Tim Horsmon 's 600th career win and featured Kamryn Hunt reaching 1000 career kills. Dayton got out to a red-hot 12-1 start in the first set. The Ramblers closed in, tying the set at 22 apiece before the Flyers came out on top. UD opened the second set on a 5-0 run, but the Ramblers held on, keeping the score within two until kills by Kaitlyn McNeel and Viktoria Wahlgren put the Flyers up 2-0. Dayton came out hard in the third set with a .571 hitting efficiency, taking advantage of big runs to win the match in straight sets. Oct 31, 2025, 1:35 AM UTC Dylan Ballard - A Sea Of Blue Playing without three potential starters, the Kentucky Wildcats struggled mightily against the Georgetown Hoyas Thursday night, falling 84-70 in the second of two exhibition games before the regular season starts next Tuesday. Kentucky could not get shots to fall throughout the 40 minutes, shooting just 20-60 from the field and 7-30 from 3-point range. The Wildcats were also just 23-35 from the free-throw line. It was a rough and sloppy night for the Wildcats, with 15 turnovers to just 14 assists. Despite winning the rebound battle 38-30, Georgetown was much better and more efficient offensively. The Hoya shot 55.4 percent from the field and 17-23 from the free-throw line. MVP: Otega Oweh On a night where nobody got going on offense for the Wildcats, Oweh managed to grind out a 17-point performance. He was 4/12 from the field and 8/11 from the free-throw line. Not his best effort, but still a solid one that kept this score from looking even more lopsided. With the win, Maine earned a home quarterfinal in the America East Championship on Sunday, Nov. 2 – with the Black Bears hosting the Wildcats at 12 p.m. at the New Balance Soccer Complex. Maine took a 1-0 lead in the 34th minute after a UNH defender deflected Britta Deny's centering ball into the net. The Wildcats came out firing to start the second half but it would be the Black Bears that scored first. After Julie Lossius ripped a shot off of the cross bar, Luise Reinwald cleaned up the rebound for her first goal of the season. UNH would get a goal back on a penalty kick conversion in the 74th minute but the Maine defense held on over the final 16 minutes for the 2-1 win. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Five players scored in double figures as the St. Bonaventure men's basketball team defeated Alfred, 101-40, in its preseason exhibition on Wednesday night (Oct. 29) at the Reilly Center. All 11 active Bonnies appeared in the scoring column. First Half: Alfred jumped out to an early 11-5 lead after shooting 3-for-4 from beyond the arc to start the game. St. Bonaventure immediately responded with a 23-2 run to take an insurmountable lead that it would not relinquish. Fifteen of the Bonnies' 23 points during the run came from three-pointers. Later in the first half, the Bonnies extended their first half lead with an 11-0 run led by Cayden Charles , who scored seven points in just over two-and-a-half minutes to extend SBU's lead to 48-21. After the Saxons made a three before the break, St. Bonaventure took a 48-24 lead into halftime. Second Half: The Bonnies picked up right where they left off, starting the second half with a 7-0 run.
